Abstract:
     The objective of this invention is to offer a method by which surface of steel and iron etc. may obtain a layer of black film with beautiful color and lustre, strong binding force and moderate corrosion-resistance. The method uses an electrolye with molybdates as main constituent, essentially non-toxic, and the process can be carried out in a wider range of technological conditions. This method solves the problem that cast iron products cannot be coated with a layer of black proctective film of beautiful color and lustre. It is also applicable to products of steel, copper, zinc and other metals. Therefore the problem of pollution of the "bluing technology" is solved as well, while the production cost is only about 1/3 of that of "basic bluing technology".
