Abstract: |
|||
| This invention provides a new electrolyte for bronze electroplating without using cyanide. The electrolyte contains a cupperic compound (e.g., CuCl2. 2H2O), a stannate (e.g., Na2Sn(OH)6), and ethylene glygol, with ammonium triacetate being added as well. The electrolyte shows good dispersibility, with wide-range of cathod electric current density, is easy to control and maintain. Steel and iron parts can be directly electroplated with this electrolyte, resulting in electroplated layer of good adhesion. | |||
