Abstract:
     This invention is a method for making silastic mould, in which a strengthening matter adhered with silicon rubber is sequentially pasted on upper and lower positions of a parting line of original part (model) and gypsum is poured in for shaping. According to different requirements to cavity strength, 0.1 glass fibre is used as strengthening matter to perform single-or multi-layer pasting, or for complex shape, the sheared strips or the material made by mixing glass fibre with silastic is used to paste. The silastic mould made based on the invention has such advantages as high strength, low cost, short forming period and no damage to original part. The invention can be used to duplicate a mould or a transitive mould regardless of either daub or gypsum original works.
