Abstract:
     This invention covers an electroplating solution, which is composed of sulfuric acid (H2SO4), stannous sulfate (SnSO4), cerium sulfate [Ce2(SO4)3], formaldhyde (H2CO), cobaltous sulfate (CoSO4.7H2O) and a brightening agent (SS-820) dissolved in deionized water, and the method of its preparation. This electroplating solution is non-poisonous, odor-less, nonpolluting and suitable for electroplating the printed circuit board and the lead wires of electronic components and devices. The plated layer is oxidation-resistant, corrosion-resistant and easy to weld. This electroplating technology can be used as an alternative for gold-plating or silver-plating.
