Abstract:
     The chemical treatment described in this invention empolys a solution of special formulation composed of K2Cr2O7, CrO3 and H2SO4. The treatment lasts for only 30-300 sec., followed by sensitization and activation, and the solution is then ready for electroplating. The same solution can also be used for the chemical treatment on those mould of compound-wax composed of wax, certain kinds of metal, glass or ceramics. The wax-mould after being treated according to the way as described in this invention is covered with a layer of electro-conductive metallic-colored membrane which adheres strongly on other surface and obscures in no way the refined texture of the latter. Those wax mould with a metallic surface can then be used for electroformation of various metallic articles.
