Abstract: |
|||
| The concentrates or raw ores are mixed with KOH and decomposed at elevated temperature. Leaching the decomposed products with water, the leach liquor is put to single or multiple stage electrolysis, metallic tin is thus deposited. The electrolyte containing minor amount of tin is concentrated by evaporation, at that time the impurities are precipitated and it is then dehydrated. The recovered potassium hydroxide solution is returned to the said decomposition process. | |||
