Abstract:
     This invention provides a process which can be switched automatically into a reinforced suction state for collecting the gases escaped from a series of eletrolysing tanks used for producing aluminum by high tamp. electrolysis. The gases from each electrolysing tank is collected through at least one pipe connected with the centre suction system. The temperature of the gases inside the pipe is measured continuously. To open at least one cover will cause gas temperature being droped suddenly and therefor switch the system into reinforced suction state, while closing all the covers will stop said state automatically and restore substantially the gas temperature back to its initial value. By this manner, the power needed is reduced considerablty.
