Abstract: |
|||
| The method of extracting manganese dioxide and zinc from waste zinc manganese dry batteries belongs to the domain of regenerating useful materials from waste primary batteries. The manganese dioxide material and metallic zinc residue or concentrated zinc sulphate, which are obtained from the broken waste batteries, are leached out from the sulphuric acid solution. By utilizing the function of reduction and oxidation of the manganese dioxide and zinc and using iron as a promoter to strengthen the leaching-out, the leaching rate of manganese dioxide and zinc is raised, the zinc manganese and the zinc in the metallic zinc residue from the waste dry cells are recovered synthetically, the baking process of the conventional method is spared, the secondary contamination is eliminated, the metal recovery rate was raised and the costs were lowered down. This invention is adaptable to treat all kinds of waste zinc-manganese dry batteries. | |||
