Abstract:
     The method presented relates to the improvement of the charging of alumia for the side-inserted self-baking anode aluminum electrolytic trough. In each of the two big surfaces of the electrolytic trough at 1100 mm range corresponding to the central line of the big surface, a charging point is set up respectively to instal the point-type automatic shell-opened charging device. This method has the features of ensuring the normal operation of the electrolytic trough, reducing significantly in labour intensity, convenient in governing the flue gas, particularly, less investment, rapid installing, simple in operation and possible to mount in the normal production process of the electrolytic trough. The main technical indexes for the electrolytic production are as follows: the current efficiency upto 89.5%, the consumption of fluoride-bearing salt 13.5 kg for one ton of aluminum, the consumption of aluminum oxide 1920 kg for one ton of aluminium and power consumption of 14700 watthours......
