Abstract:
     This invention provides a technique to prep. Mn by electrolyzing Mn-bearing waste water of p-dihydroxy-benzene. It consists in the associated process ofair-oxidation, sublimation with active carbon adsorption to remove the organic substances, e.g. benzoquinone and aniline, sulfuration to ppte. impurities Co. Ni, and air-oxidation to remove Fe in teh form of ferric-hydroxide pptn. The purified Mn-bearing waste water of p-dihydroxy-benzne, after acertain amt. of anode liquor is added, may be carried into an electrolytic bath directly to produce electrolytic Mn with the prod. quality up to the state-specified standard. The said technique is suitable for treating waste water caused by prepn. of p-dihydroxy benzene using anilline process. It is characterized by simpleand reasonable technique less pollution and making use of waste.
