Abstract:
     This invention is a method for producing Al-Si alloy by electrolysis. Spodumene and Al2O3 powder are put into molten cryolite, then are directly electrolyzed to make the Al-Si alloy. It features that its electric consumption is less than that of the method in which the sand is added into Al electrolyzer to make Al-Si alloy. Furthermore, the extra profit of Al2O3 and Li2O is taken as the additive of spondumene is increased and the lithium solt needed by other Al electrolyzers can be met to replace the additive of lithium carbonate.
