Abstract:
     By using (NH4)2SO4.MnSO4 as electrolyte, cooling cathode and increasing the number of anode plated, metal Mn and MnO2 can be simultaneously educed out at cathode for former and anode for latter in same electrolyzer under the conditions that the temp. of anode and cathode are 75-90 and 30-45 deg.Crespectively, the current densities of anode and cathode are 50-120 and 150-500 A/m2 respectively, and the PH value of cathode liquor is 7.0-8.5. It has such advantages as high quality of products, less power consumption by 50% as compared with that of the separated electrolysis, practically no acid fog, decrease in apparatus and saving of investment.
