Abstract:
     This invention features that lithium carbonate which amounts 0.09-0.9% by wt. of drier and asphalt is added into the anode slime for aluminium electrolysis instead of the original process of direct adding lithium carbonate into electrolyzer, so decreasing the loss of lithium carbonate due to flying upward and keeping the content of lithium fluoride in electrolyte constant. The new slime can lower 110-250 mV of overvoltage, which will save 369-837 kilowatt-hours of DC electric consumption per ton of aluminium based on existing conditions of electrolyzing aluminium. Its preparing technology is simple, reasonable and suitable for industrial production.
