Abstract:
     This invention belongs to cryolite-aluminum oxide molten salt. anode calcination technology for producing aluminum by electrolysis. It is suitable for self-calcining anode electrolytic bath. Its features are: on aluminum plate corresponding to positions of the insertion of anode rods, Al rods are welded, and there are charcoal caps on the upper ends of the Al. Said invention is possible to make the starting current raise to 70% of the total current in an instant, and up to total current around 30 minutes, and only have to calcine for 4 days. As compared with the original different kinds of calcination methods, the phenomena of red-rod, broken rod, leak and burnt, may be avoided, so greatly saving of man-powers, material resources and electric energy. Especially for electrolytic baths in producing series, the total electric current may be reached in a short period, and no influence to the work of normal producing bath.
