Abstract:
     An extract-electrolysis process to produce Zn metal powder from Zn containing materials. Ammonate and ammonia spirit were used as infusion agents. Electrolysis is carried out in an ammine system. Compared with current soda-infusion method, this new method has advantages as follows: Both extract and electrolysis are carried out at room temperature. The process to remove anion impurity before infusion is unnecessary. This method has shorter period, high metal yield, low cost and high quality Zn metal powder. This method can be used to treat various Zn-slags, thermo-plating slag, hydroxide of Zn slag produced in fuse powder production for Zn powder production.
