    Process for the production of molded graphite articles having an electrically conductive and oxidation-stable coating, which is suitable in particular for coating graphite electrodes which are used in the electric furnace melting of metals and metal alloys. The method is characterised by a multiplicity of method features whose combination is essential to the invention in achieving perfect silicon coatings on the electrode surface.
