     This invention refers to a construction of membrane / electrode. It includes an ion-exchange membrane on which island possessing many catalyzed active particles is provided. The particles are adhesived at least on one face of the membrane. The diameter or width of island stated above is smaller than1cm. Less than 75% of membrane surface in island is covered with catalyzed active particles stated above.
