Abstract:
     This invention relates to an improvement of a new wet Zn smelting process in which concentrated Zn ore and soft Mn ore are simultaneously leached out under normal pressure, and then metal Zn and r-MnO2 are simultaneously obtained by electrolysis in same electrolyzer with Zn on cathode and r-MnO2 on anode. Two ways are disclosed by this invention for solving the acid unbalance problem in said wet process: one is that, part of waste electrolyte is taken out for producing other chemical products of Zn and Mn, and the other is that MnO2 is first electrolyzed at high temp and Zn then at low temp.
