Abstract:
     The ferrous ion in the waste is oxidized to ferric ion and the ferric salt is isolated by extraction, the remained acid liquor may be used in cycles. The extractant may also be reused after counter-extraction by water, and the produced ferric chloride aqueous solution may be made into a series of products. Hydrogen peroxide solution or chlorine etc may be used as the oxidant and the tert-or quaternary amine salt of C6-C18 carbon chain (containing one methyl- or ethyl-group) as the extractant.
