Abstract:
     The present invention concerns the phosphate solution used for chemical treatment of metal surfaces, an application for surface phosphorization of ferrous metals. After deoiling and rust removal, the ferrous metals may come directly into contact with the solution of this invention without any need for pre-activation and form a protective film composed of zinc-calcium phosphate. The phosphate solution of this invention comprises the following components: zinc ions 1-3 g/l, calcium ions 1.0-4.5g/l, phosphate ions 21-32 g/l, sodium meta-nitrobenzenesulfonate 0.1-3 g/l, chlorate ions 0.3-10 g/l, nitrate ions 0-15 g/l, nickel ions 0.1-0.3 g/l, disodium salt of EDTA 0.08-0.15 g/l and manganese ions 0-0.8 g/l. The said phosphate solution is readily prepared and shows such advantages as low phosphorization temperature, high reaction rate and high quality of phosphorized film.
