Abstract:
     The hydrochloric acid is main component. The formaldehyde is used as buffer, sodium chloride or ammonium chloride as stripping agent, polyoxyethylene sec-octylphenyl ether as permeating agent. This rust-removing agent is effective at normal atmospheric temp. There is neither hydrogen brittleness norover-etch. The surface of treated steel is smooth and bright. The strength is unvaried. When some hydrochloric acid or some auxiliary is added the ineffective agent can be used continuously.
