Abstract:
     The parkerizing liquid is composited of calcium nitrate, zinc phosphate, cobalt nitrate, tin nitrate, nickel nitrate, citric acid, tartaric acid, E.D.T.A, surface-active agent OP and water. The phosphoric acid reacts with zinc oxide to produce zinc phosphate, calcium oxide reacts with concentrated nitric acid to produce calcium nitrate. Then both products are mixed and the chemicals above are added, the PH value is regulated to 2. The parkerizing liquid is used to treat metal surface before applying coat of paint. The metal surface is washed with acid and water, then the metal pats is put into the parkerizing liquid for parkerizing.
