Abstract:
The characteristic of this method consists in two process adopted: (a) metal nitrate and metal halide soln. of definite concns. are used for soaking the metallic anode after removing the dirt on its surface, (b) surface drying and moderate temp. treating. The soaker may be either an aq. slon of lead nitrate, manganese nitrate and cobalt nitrate of the concn. 3-40%, or an aq. soln. of antimony chloride, titanium chloride of the concn 3-40%. The moderate temp. heat treatment may be heating under 600-930 deg.C for 2-40 min. then cooling by air. By adopting the tment process for metallic anode before reclamation, not only the charater of the reclaimed anode will remain the same as before, but also the recovery of noble metal ruthenium will be benefited.
