Abstract:
     Overhead metallic pipe cathode protector contains a protective construction (the metallic pipe to be protected is taken as a cathode, the solid electrolyte coating as a continuous phase, the electronic conducting coating as an auxiliary positive pole), a protective electric potential measuring system (composed of a graphite solid reference electrode, an impedance converter and a digital voltmeter) and a DC power supply system (constant potential instrument). After the source is connected, with the help of the solid electrolyte coating and external additional current, the overhead metallic pipe or the metallic cathode to be protected is polarized to a certain degree, so the corrosion is restrained. This invention is suitable to various overhead metallic pipe, metallic container, large-sized railroad bridge and metallic members of the splashing district of the sea and ocean platform exposed in gas phase surroundings.
