Abstract:
     The invention provides a corrosion inhibitor for iron and steel. In composition, it contains 0.4-6 (wt.%) of plant extractive, and it makes carbon steel and iron excellent in inhibitive properties under the condition of water solution with PH=1-10. In water solution containing 2% of this corrosion inhibitor for 24 and 360 hours, the rates of corrosion inhibition are 100% and 98.2% respectively for carbon steel. Immersed in this system for a year, carbon steel will not be corroded and immersed in this system for a month, the surface of which will be rust-free for three months.
