Abstract:
     The multilayer coated cemented carbide with excellent anti-corrosion and toughness properties consists of the base medium of cemented carbide, inner layer contacted with base medium, and outer layer contacted to the inner one. The inner layer is of a single layer and/or laminated layers, which contain at least one of the following compounds of titanium:carbide, nitride, nitride containing carbon, carboxyl nitride, nitride containing oxygen, nitride containing boron and carbide containing boron. The outer layer with total thickness of 5~20 micron lamination, consists of multi-layer of Al2O, each layer fused with titanium oxide or no more than 30% titanium oxide in coexistence, and being separated by middle layer of 0.01~2 micron thickness, containing Tic, TiN, TiCN, TiCND, TiNO, oxide of Ti, Ti (B,N,C), SiC, AlN and AlON.
