Abstract:
     The process concerns a method for making moulds. by spraying aluminum on the surface of a plaster of paris mould. A mould is made from plaster of paris powder, water, and latex, the percentage by weight of each being 55-65,25-35 and 5-15, respectively, and the optimum percentage being 60, 30, and 10, respectively. A gas-melt run sprayer is used to spray molten aluminum on the surface of the plaster mould. The process has a simple procedure, a short pecriod of production, and low cost; it can be used to make moulds which are of irregular shape, intricate figures, and withstrict requirements on surface smoothness and aceuracy of sizes, but may be produced in small lots.
