Abstract:
     This proces comprises: high temp. quenching-first aging-reheattreatment-second aging. The temp. of reheattreatment is 190~220 deg.C, and the time is 1~30 min., the optimum temp. of reheattreatment is 195~200 deg.C. After such a treatment, the Al-alloy will have its resistance to stress corrosion increased more than twofold without much loss of its original yield strength and strength at break.
