Abstract:
     The invention relates to a heat treatment process for copper slide block of universal joint used on roll mill. The copper slide block made of Cu-Al-Fe-Ni alloy is heated to 830-890 deg.C, held for 0.3-3 hours, and cooled by water or salt water, tempered at 600-650 deg.C, held for 1-10 hours and then heat treated for sosoloid ageing by water or air. The copper slide block treated with this process has high resistance to plastic deformation and to wear, and has remarkably raised service life. under the normal lubrication conditions, it has a service life over 256 days on a 1300 mm rough roll mill.
