Abstract:
     In this invention, mono-2-ethylhexyl (2-ethylhexyl phosphate) is used as extraction solvent multistage solvent extraction is adopted, first to separate erbium and thulium so as to divide the rare-earths into groups, and then to separate thulium, ytterbium and lutetium. The products obtained are La-Er group rare-earths containing less than 0.06% of Tm and Yb each, Tm of > 94% pure, Yb of > 97% pure, and Lu of > 99% pure.
