Abstract:
     The present invention concerns a multistage fractional extraction process of two steps according to the hydrometallurgical liquid-liquid extraction technology, in which the chlorides of rare earths of La-Er and Y (which contains about 4-7% Tb4O7) is extracted and separated into two groups, one of La-Ga, and the other of Tb-Er and Y by using 2-ethylhexyl 2-ethylhexyl phosphate (HEHEHP) as a extraction solvent, prepared as HEHEHP-HEHEHP ammoniumsalt-kerosene extraction organic phase; and then Tb is separated from the organic phase loaded with Tb-Er, Y and concentrated. The enriched Tb is of the 85-90% grade, the total recovery of the separated Tb via. two-steps extraction being more than 97%; besides, two kinds of concentrates of La-Gd and Dy-Er, Y containing 0.001% and less than 0.2% of Tb4o respectively are obtained.
