Abstract:
     The method consists of: First, the lead oxide (Pb CO3 or PbO) is placed in a rotary furnace externally heated by resistance wire, into the furnace is introduced coal gas, or water gas, or hydrogen for low temperature heating and reduction of lead oxide, teperature being controlled in the range of 400-600 deg.C.after the gangue is separated by mechanical stirring or melting stirring, pure lead is obtained. The reduction of lead oxide can be achieved with lignite in a tunnel kiln as well. The method needs simple equipment, is easy to operate and causes no pollution.
