| The enriched europium and gadolinium raw material is directly extn. in Hcl medium by two step-multistage sepn. without any reducing agent. The preferred extracting agent is aminated 2-ethylhexyl-mono-2-ethylhevyl phosphate (P507). The yield is higher than 95%, the quality of europium oxide meets the specification of fluorescent grade product and the gadolinium has a purity of 99%. This method shows following advantages: continuous operation, simple equipment and low consumption of chemicals. Red powder made from this fluorescent grade europium oxide is of a quality suitable for producing color kinolamps in television. | |||
