Abstract: |
|||
| The present invention is a pretreatment to solve the problem of raw materials in manufacturing high rare earth, low titanium intermediate alloy. The fine rare earth ore briquettes (or lumps) are reduced in hot furnace with coke as reductant and silica as slagging agent, the product is rare earth fine slag, and the by-product is Nb-containing ferric phosphorate. The former is a comparatively ideal raw material to manufacture intermediate alloy of rare earth elements by silicon fusion method. | |||
