Abstract:
     This process is especially suitable for the treatment of oxygen-sulfur mingled ore containing more than 10% of antimony and 1-20% of sulfur, and is characterized by simple equipment, good heat and mass transfer, high volatility of antimony and low cost of production. According to this process, the volatility of antimony can be as high as 95-99%, with 0.2-0.6% of antimony retained in the slag and 79-81% of antimony in the oxide. The apparatus in this invention is mainly a drum reactor and a spray gun, which is composed of three concentric pipes, made by Cr18Ni9Ti thermostable stainless steel, and a jet nozzle. Diesel or pulverized coal is used as the fuel.
