Abstract: |
|||
| This invention concerns a compound strenthening process for steel material. It consists of heating the spring steel wire of carbonsteel or low alloy steel on a continuously operating production line to AC3 (100-250)deg.C, cooling it immediately in a Pb-Bi alloy bath, then causing the wire to be drawn to the desired size through a die of suitable cross-section, quenching it in oil bath, and then reheating the wire in a fluidized particle oven. The equipment for heating and forming steel spring wire in this invention consists of a combined device acting as the electric pole and lubricator, a forming-quenching device and a fluidized particle reheating oven, etc.. This process overcomes the shortcomings of prior processes, such as broken wire happened frequently, low surface quality of the prod, non-uniformity of properties, etc.. | |||
