Abstract:
Low-temp. composite water bath treatment is used in this process. In intermidiate heat treatment process, steel wire is heated to 800-820 deg.C., then immersed into pure boiling water in which compressed air is injected and then put into open air for cooling. In final heat treatment process, the steel wire is heated to 820-840 deg.C. and cooled in a cooling medium which has high cooling speed but does not give rise to brittle ruptures of the wire. After that, steel wire is transfered to a tri-zone anti-fragility oven for phase change for enough time and then cooled in open air. This method is suitable for the heat treatment of various kinds of carbon and low alloy steel wires of less than 10 mm. in diameters.
