Abstract:
     This steel is to manufacture thick spring leaf. The thickuess of the steel leaf may be up to 16 mm if annealed in oil, and 30 mm if water-annealed. Bottom plate spring set of automobile made of this 28 Mn-Si-B spring steel is 50% over requirement in lifespan, and maximum may be 200% over. Because of its low carbon content, the lifespan of cold process tool used can be twofolds longer than when conventional spring steel is procossed.
