Abstract:
     In view of the complicated process and equipment required for various chemical heat-treatment of gears, enormous energy consumption and poor controllability of the process, and the problems of low strength of product, cumbersome structure and poor durability of equipment of other treatment processes, gears are made according to this invention with high-carbon steel, applying superfine pretreatment or hardening and tempering to the gears. Then, the gears are quenched by high-frequency direct-inductive heating and self-cooling. This invention is used in fabrication of gears and structural members of gear-like invalid form.
