Abstract:
The interference force of a certain frequency produced by vibrator is applied to the work pieces to make them vibrate. The magnitude of dynamic stress produced by the interference force in the work pieces is controlled. A dynamic stress of 3-7kg/mm2 square is suitable for steel and pieces to be welded to it, and 1-3 kg/mm2 square for cast iron. In order to keep the dynamic stress in suitable limits, vibrating force of the vibrator can be adjusted so as to cause the work pieces to vibrate at the peak frequency or at a certain frequency in front of the peak. At the same time, the vibration can proceed at two frequencies, but no more than three frequencies. When the acceleration changes with a decreasing rate and becomes stable, the treatment has come to an end.
