Abstract:
This invention provides a special set of equipment for heat treatment to be installed in the production line of steel balls for ball mills. By subjecting the rolled steel balls in a hot state to precooling, quenching, and selftempering, so as to raise the hardness of the 80~125mm steel ball to 45~62 HRC, and to double its wear-resistance to that of conventional hot rolled balls. The process is capable of saving energy by utilizing the residual heat from rolling for the purpose of heat treatment.
