Abstract:
     An apparatus for soaking steel materials including cold and hot steel materials is composed of a soaking furnace for soaking steel materials, a preheating chamber for preheating cold steel materials before entering the soaking furnace and a transmission for feeding the steel materials into the soaking furnace and driving the steel materials along the soaking furnace. The soaking furnace is composed of a heating zone, a soaking zone having a heating source in which the soaking temperature is higher than that of heating zone and the furnace top in soaking zone is higher than that of the heating zone and a waste heat-supplying mechanism which connects the heating zone with the preheating chamber.
