Abstract: |
|||
| This invention is to reduce carbon content of molten iron. The molten iron is subjected to centrifugal force, so that the low density graphite is concentrated at the center and oxidized by oxygen rich air to carbon dioxide. By this method, foundry can produce castings of various grades without use of waste steel. This method can also be used to produce wrought iron. Steel plant can use this method to reduce carbon content of molten iron, and hence increass steel output. | |||
