Abstract:
     The main technical characteristics of this invention are: (a) high temp. liquid slag from steel making in oxygen converters, open-hearth furnaces or electric furnaces is used as the desulfurizer; (b) the process time to pour the molten iron into the ladle or tanker having the desulfurizer is the desulfurizing process time of the motlen iron outside the furnace; (c) by neans of the powerful stirring resulting from the iron drop in level when the molten iron is poured in, and the violent boiling created by C-O reaction between the great or considerably great FeO content in desulfurizer and the carbon in the molten iron, the continuous stirring and mixing are improved. The desulfurizing rate of the process can reach 90%. In the meantime dephosphorization and desiliconization can be carried out.
