Abstract:
By means of blast furnace metallurgy of vanadium iron with gaseous oxidizing agent, a vanadium residue suitable for vanadium containing product such as vanadium pentaoxide and vanadium alloy can be obtained. The composition in weight percent of the said vanadium residue is as follows: vanadium oxide 16-30, silicon oxide 10-24, manganese oxide 6-14, chromium oxide 1-12, titanium oxide 6-14, calcium oxide 0.3-30.0, metallie iron 2-20, iron oxide-the rest. The minerallogy composition is as follows: spinel 40-70, glass 2-10, pyzexenes and olivines, the rest of which spinel crystal shows regular geometrical form, and the demension of crystal grain to be 25-80 micron. Vanadium residue thus obtained may be used as raw material to produce ranadium containing product such as vanadium pentaoxide and ranadium alloys.
