Abstract:
The alloy substituting bismuth is extracted from electrolysis mud at anode and dust in metallury of tin, copper and lead. After remelting and regulating the alloy contains bismuth 4-14%, copper 0.1-1%, tin 0.1-1%, antimony 0.5-2%, tellurium 0.1-1%, the rest is lead alloy. It can substitute bismuth as inoculant of cast iron and promote chilling effect. The inoculated white blank by the alloy can use two-stage graphitizing technology, or it can be inoculated with aluminium and sillicon also and annealed at 720-750 agree deg.C. to obtain malleable cast iron consisted of ferrite and graphite.
