Abstract:
Said invention refers to the red-hot delivery process of low alloy steel melted in electric furnace. Copper, tin, lead, and zinc contents in furnace charge are controlled by selection. Aluminium and ferro-titanium are added into melted steel. After heating the casted ingots, they are immediately delivered to blooming mill for rolling. The ratio of billet up to standard produced by means of said invention attains over 99%, furthermore, the production period is shortened, energy is saved, thus better economic benefit can be obtained by the steel rolling mill. Said invention is not only suitable for the production process for red-hot delivery of low alloy steel 16Mn ingots melted in electric furnace to blooming mill, but also suitable for low carbon steel e.g. steel 10, 20, low carbon and low alloy steels 12Cr2Ni4A, 10 CrNiMo etc.
