Abstract:
     This invention provides a process of smelting steel from steel scraps. Monopole direct current and lined electroslag furnace is used in this process. When scratch starting and slag making begin by charging of electrode, steel scraps are put into furnace to conduct-smelting. This invention possesses the advantages of low power consumption, high recovery yield of metals and low capital cost of equipments.
