Abstract:
This invention provides a cast-iron used for making the mould of glass bottles. Its chemical components (%) are as follows: C 3.1-3.7, Si 1.5-2.3, Mn 0.5-0.9, P less than 0.1, S less than 0.07, Mg 0.02-0.05, Re 0.02-0.05, Al 0.4-2.0, Cr 0.2-0.4, Ti 0.15-0.35, and Fe residual. It is a kind of helminth graphite cast-iron with single-phase ferrite base body, which is obtained through smelting in cupola furnace, creeping and uncleating, and thermal processing. Its service life for the mould of wine bottle is 0.7-1 million times; for the mould of medicinal saline bottle is 0.5-0.7 million times, which are 5-10 times as many as the average service life of gray cast-iron mould from market.
