Abstract:
    Method of cultivating lotus root includes such steps as addressing, building up a pond, seeding, water level adjustment, fertilizing, protecting diseases, and harvesting. It is characterized by that choosing plain places, e.g. unused basement or pools, with no trees and plenty of sunshine; laying tiles around the side of lattice whose side is 2 meters long; selecting and planting lotus during tomb-sweeping day and grain rain when the ground temperature is above 12deg.C; harvesting the lotus root after the autumnal equinox. It improves the quality and quantity of lotus root.
